Chemical Absorbent Booms

Use chemical/hazchem absorbent booms to contain spills, drips and leaks of most acids, bases, coolants, paints, solvents, oils and hazardous chemicals.

These booms are also known as chemical/hazchem absorbent socks.

Chemical/hazchem poly booms (socks) are colour-coded pink for quick identification. They are ideal to keep on hand wherever chemicals are stored, handled and spilled. 

Poly absorbents can absorb up to 20 times their own weight in liquids. They also have a rapid wicking action which helps clean up spills more quickly.

Poly chemical absorbent booms are manufactured from meltblown polypropylene and are inert and dust-free which means they won't degrade or chemically react with the liquids they absorb.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature of the spill. Absorbent booms can absorb up to 20 times their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
