This 250L corrosive safety cabinet is designed for the specific storage of Class 8 corrosive substances indoors to capture / prevent any accidental spills. 

This 250L corrosive safety cabinets are suitable for storing Class 8 substances such as nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, and sulfuric acid and other corrosive substances. 

250L corrosive safety cabinet are designed to store a capacity of 250L of Class 8 corrosive substances It is important to not overload the cabinet past the labelled maximum storage as the sump will not be capable of fully containing a spill.

Australian Standard AS3780-2023 sets forth the requirements and recommendations for the storage and handling of Class 8 corrosive substances. This standard details the necessity of using safety cabinets, specifying their recommended construction design, appropriate placement within the workplace, and essential safety labelling.

    What's a Class 8 corrosive substance?

    As referred from AS3780-2023, corrosive substances are:

    Substances that, by chemical action, will cause severe damage when in contact with living tissue, or in the case of leakage, will materially damage, or even destroy, other goods or the means of transport; they may also cause other hazards. Such substances are listed as Class 8 corrosive substances in the ADG Code or meet the classification criteria specified in that Code for corrosive substances.
