Chemical Spill Kits - 120L Wheelie Bins

Chemical spill kits - often called hazchem spill kits are kept on hand to help clean up incidental spills of aggressive chemicals or unknown liquids. They are especially suited to aggressive acids and bases (alkalis), paint, solvents, oils, fuels, coolants, degreasers, herbicides and pesticides.

Hazchem wheelie bin kits are designed for workshops, warehouses, factories, chemical plants, laboratories and schools. They are ideal for areas where chemicals are stored, handled or spilled.

Poly chemical absorbents are inert and dust-free which means they won't degrade or chemically react with the liquids they absorb. They can absorb up to 20 times their own weight in liquid and are colour-coded pink for quick identification. 

Spill kit instructions are included in all wheelie bin spill kits.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature. Hazchem absorbents in our chemical spill kits are made from polypropylene (which has a high absorbent capacity). Poly absorbents can absorb up to 20x their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
