250L Flammable liquid storage cabinet

Flammable liquid safety cabinets are designed for the safe and secure storage of Class 3 flammable liquids in the workplace. The double wall construction with a 40mm barrier offers ultimate fire containment and protection to safeguard against the dangers of combustible liquids. 

The 250L flammable safety cabinets are suitable for safely storing Class 3 flammable liquids such as petrol, paints, varnishes, lacquers, adhesives and other combustible liquids. 

250L Flammable liquid safety cabinet are designed to store a capacity of 250L of Class 3 flammable liquid. It is important to not overload the cabinet past the labelled maximum storage as the sump will not be capable of fully containing a spill.

Australian Standard AS1940:2017 sets forth the requirements and recommendations for the storage and handling of Class 3 flammable liquids. This standard details the necessity of using safety cabinets, specifying their recommended construction design, appropriate placement within the workplace, and essential safety labelling.

    What's a Class 3 – flammable liquid? 

    As defined by the Australian Dangerous Goods Code, flammable liquids are:

    Liquids, mixtures of liquids or liquids containing solids in solution or suspension (e.g. paints, varnishes, lacquers etc. but not including substances otherwise classified on account of their dangerous characteristics) which give off a flammable vapour at temperatures of not more than 60.5 degrees Celsius (closed cup test) or not more than 65.5 degrees Celsius (open cup test), normally referred to as the flash point.
