What is an overpack drum? 

An overpack drum is a container specifically engineered to offer extra protection and containment for smaller containers while they are being stored or transported. This type of drum is utilised when the integrity of the original container is at risk or when there’s a need to consolidate several containers into one.

The main function of an overpack drum is to avert leaks, spills, and additional harm to the original containers, while also simplifying handling and transportation. Essentially, it serves as a secondary containment solution that surrounds and secures the primary containers inside it.

Eagle 95-Gallon Overpack Poly Drum

The Eagle 95-Gallon Overpack Poly Drum is built for the safe transport and storage of large, non-leaking, undamaged containers, cans, and drums holding hazardous materials. If any contents are leaking, they must be packed with sufficient absorbent material—no free liquids.

Constructed from yellow blow-moulded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with integrated UV inhibitors, this drum is lightweight, durable, and resistant to both chemicals and harsh environmental conditions. It includes a secure screw-on lid for reliable sealing.
