Oil and Fuel Absorbent Pillows

Oil absorbent pillows are used to clean up spills of oil, fuel, diesel, petrol and hydrocarbons. 

Hydrocarbon absorbent pillows are available in two sizes, making them ideal for creating a barrier or to plug a leak when cleaning up day-to-day oil spills.

Oil and fuel absorbents are colour-coded white for quick identification. They are hydrophobic, meaning they repel water and this makes them suitable for hydrocarbon spills in wet environments such as lakes, rivers, sumps, ponds, drains, or in wet weather.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature of the spill. Oil and fuel absorbents are made from polypropylene (which has a high absorbent capacity). Pillows can absorb up to 20x their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
