Poly chemical absorbents are inert and dust-free which means they won't degrade or chemically react with the liquids they absorb. They can absorb up to 20 times their own weight in liquids and are colour-coded pink for quick identification.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature of the spill. Hazchem absorbents are made from polypropylene (which has a high absorbent capacity). Poly absorbents can absorb up to 20x their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
