What is an overpack drum?
An overpack drum serves as a vessel intended to offer enhanced protection and containment for smaller containers, particularly during storage or transit. This type of drum is utilised when the initial container has been damaged or when there is a need to group several containers together.
The main function of an overpack drum is to avert leaks, spills, and additional harm to the original containers, while also streamlining handling and transportation processes. Essentially, it functions as a secondary container that encases and secures the primary containers inside it.
