Oil and fuel spill kits are an efficient and economical solution for cleaning up oil, fuel, diesel, petrol, solvents and hydrocarbons. They are ideal for areas where industrial hydrocarbon liquids are stored, handled or spilled. They are supplied in a weatherproof wheelie bin - colour coded yellow to make them stand out and not be mistaken in a spill emergency. 

Oil and fuel poly absorbents included in these wheelie bin spill kits are colour-coded white for quick identification. They are hydrophobic, meaning they repel water which makes them suitable for hydrocarbon spills in wet environments such as lakes, rivers, sumps, ponds, drains, or in wet weather. 

Economy spill kits feature a range of poly absorbents and include Budgetsorb granular absorbent. Budgetsorb is a blend of coir peat which has a high absorbency to weight ratio capable of effectively absorbing oil, fuel and other hydrocarbons.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature of the spill. Oil and fuel absorbents are made from polypropylene (which has a high absorbent capacity). Poly absorbents can absorb up to 20x their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
