Oil and fuel spill kits provide an efficient and cost-effective solution for cleaning up oil, fuel, diesel, petrol, solvents, and hydrocarbons. They are perfect for areas where industrial hydrocarbon liquids are stored, handled, or spilled. Supplied in a weatherproof wheelie bin, these kits are color-coded yellow for easy identification during a spill emergency.

The oil and fuel poly absorbents in these wheelie bin kits are color-coded white for quick recognition. Hydrophobic in nature, they repel water, making them ideal for hydrocarbon spills in wet environments such as lakes, rivers, sumps, ponds, drains, or during wet weather.

Economy spill kits feature a range of poly absorbents and include Budgetsorb granular absorbent. Budgetsorb is a blend of coir peat which has a high absorbency to weight ratio capable of effectively absorbing oil, fuel and other hydrocarbons.

Actual absorbent capacity will vary depending on the liquid viscosity, specific gravity and temperature of the spill. Oil and fuel absorbents are made from polypropylene (which has a high absorbent capacity). Poly absorbents can absorb up to 20x their own weight in liquid by encapsulating the liquid within the polypropylene’s fine fibres.
